Turmeric Colada

Turmeric is rich in antioxidants that’ll give your immune system a boost and help ease inflammation! Its unique flavor pairs excellently with sweet pineapple and citrus fruits, especially in this creamy and tropical Blast. So, we’re turning this tropical colada into a healthful experience!
 

     INGREDIENTS

 

    CARROT GINGER TURMERIC SMOOTHIE

 INGREDIENTS /health benefits:

Ginger // stomach soother, immune booster, infection fighter, anti-inflammatory

 

Banana // Digestion aid, potassium-packed, lowers blood pressure, healthy carbs, tastes like candy

Pineapple // Vitamin C-packed, anti-inflammatory, digestion aid, antioxidant-packed, energy boosting, nature’s candy

Turmeric // Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant-rich, battles cystic fibrosis, free radical-fighting, lowers cholesterol 

Lemon // Vitamin C-packed, antioxidant-rich, natural antibiotic, skin brightener, tastes like summer 

Carrot // Antioxidant- and Vitamin A-rich, beta carotene-packed, vision booster, free radical fighter 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 medium carrots

  • 1 pear

  • 1 lemon

  • 1-inch (2.5 cm) piece of ginger

  • 3 – 4 kale leaves (optional — I left them out because I wanted the pretty orange color!)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Wash all produce well.

  2. Peel the lemon.

  3. Add all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!

Orange juice for breakfast doesn’t have to come from a store-bought carton, and it doesn’t have to contain oranges! This orange breakfast juice is made up of carrots, ginger, lemon and pear. With carrots as the base, it is just as sweet and satisfying with a higher dose of nutrients than any store-bought juices. While I love a green juice, in the morning I find that a juice with a little more starch helps to get me going. The beta-carotene found in the carrots is a source of potassium that helps keep electrolytes balanced, and some of the starch from both the carrots and the pear help to keep me going all morning long.

A delicious and nutrient-rich juice is one of my favorite additions to breakfast. This juice is a modification of traditional carrot, apple, ginger juice. Here’s the twist: I added both sweet potato, which is loaded with anti-cancer and immune-boosting properties as well as vitamins A and C, and also spinach, which is chock-full of brain-healthy nutrients and antioxidants.

Try this juice to help get you moving in the morning. It’s a rich source of nutrients and as a tasty addition to your day. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ sweet potato

  • 1 small apple, cored

  • 3 carrots

  • 1-inch ginger

  • 1 handful spinach

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Wash and prepare ingredients.

  2. Add ingredients through the juicer.

  3. Serve and enjoy!

Total time: 5-10 minutes

Servings: 1 serving (16-20 oz, 500 mL)
